How much does home health care cost?

Our philosophy is everyone should be able to afford home health care.  We have very low overhead so our costs are much lower than the big agencies. WE also work with families to help them qualify for the VA program and Passport program.

What if I don’t like the first home health care aide you send?

No problem.   That’s why Mary and I make the first visit.  We like to get to know you and your personality—Your likes and dislikes.  We know it is difficult to make the decision to have a stranger come into your home. We want to make sure you are comfortable with your home health care assistance. If you don’t like the home health care aide we pick just let us know.  We will change it.

How long does the home health care aide have to be in my home?

We do have a two hour minimum.   Generally it takes about two hours to give a shower, do some like housekeeping and fix a meal. Many of our clients like to have someone visit in the AM and again in the PM. That’s great!  We work out a home care plan so the aide will know what to do at each visit.

Do we have to pay up front?

No! We bill weekly for all home health care services after the service has been provided.

What if I don’t know what I want?

Many of our clients are not sure what they need. That’s another reason Mary and I visit. We will help you develop the care plan. Changes to the care plan can be made at any time because we know situations change. What works this week may not work next week.

Can I trust your staff?

We do several different background checks on our entire home health care staff.  We also check out their references.  Many of our home care staff have been with us for a long time and have a lot of experience. We hire caring people that usually go above and beyond what is expected.  We treat our staff with respect and dignity and expect them to treat you the same way.  There has to be a bond between the client and the caregiver.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No!  We have you sign a service agreement.  To cancel that agreement we ask that you give us a four hours notice.
